...of what if might be like if I had four children all spaced about 2 years apart.
I babysat a couple of kids yesterday from about 8:30 AM to 1 PM. They were good kids: a girl, age 6; and a boy, age 4. Then add my own toddler, almost 3; and baby boy, age 4 months.
For the most part, it didn't seem that bad. The three older kids all played together pretty independently. I made them a couple of snacks, refereed the play-dough activity, read some books. But otherwise, I was able to just focus on the baby, and even got in a few small chores. So a good, productive morning.
Once the kids left, though, my energy suddenly drained. I have rarely felt so utterly exhausted as I did yesterday afternoon. And it didn't help at all when Hubby came home drained as well. We both wanted to get to bed early, but haha, that rarely happens around here.
I am still quite tired this morning; Isaac nursed three times last night, and also needed a diaper change around 2 AM. Fortunately, the house is pretty tidy right now so I'm just going to take it easy on myself and play with my kids. And maybe this afternoon I will put on a video for Gabe and maybe he will take a nap (terrible, huh?).
Yeah...So, I have rather decided that I am not ready to have another baby anytime soon. But then again, the kids played so well together...*shrug*

Give yourself some credit! You had a baby four months ago, so not being ready for two more is reasonable! =) Good to know if you do have four you can take it though huh? Get some rest! I once watched three kids under three and our neighbors have three kids under four. These kids were all spaced out about the same as there's - and only one was mine!! I can't imagine!
