Second-Hand Christmas

This year I have been doing a lot of Christmas shopping at thrift stores and yard sales and have found some awesome stuff for my toddler:

Whack-A-Mole
a Whinnie-the-Pooh suitcase
Hotwheels race track
Puzzle of the United States (six pieces)
Alphabet blocks (Melissa and Doug brand-- about 50 blocks, I'm guessing)
A couple of plastic plates with pictures of Superheroes on them (I think I will give one to Gabe and one to Zac)

For Zac, I have been wrapping up several of Gabe's old baby toys, in addition to a few things I've found second-hand.

I have also made an "I-Spy" game for each child (even though Zac is still too young for his).

So really, we're hardly spending anything on Christmas gifts this year, and it's wonderful :) We will be buying a few things new, but mostly stocking stuffers.

  1. we've always found the coolest toys at thrift stores too. isn't it the best feeling to find something they love to play with so much & know that you spent a fraction of the original price? sounds like you came across some good finds!

(btw, i came across your blog on the LLL forums. i'm ohiomama. :) )
