The following is a trailer for a film coming out apparently sometime next Spring. I will be checking it out one way or another.
Too bad a lot of people will probably just ignore it...

Being a full-time mother is THE hardest job, I think. But it is also the most rewarding. I'm tired all the time, stressed to the max, rarely have time for myself; I don't get paid for what I do, there's no "Most Valuable Employee" award, and I am seldom thanked. How many jobs out there can you think of that you would want to stick with if those were the conditions of your employment? And yet, I LOVE MY JOB. And I am never quitting.
Okay, why didn't that work...

Very interesting. I hope this film discusses the original reasons for formula, as well as the valid ones, and is not a biased view. I agreed with the timetable- exclusive until 6 months, at least one year- but don't agree with "however long both want to." No, a four year old nursing is not necessary or appropriate in my book.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to see the actual film before delving into a whole lot of detail on the topic. I am glad that the subject is being addressed.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that I find most frustrating about breastfeeding vs. formula is that a lot of women in this country are led to believe that they shouldn't breastfeed, or are physically incapable, and that is rarely true.
