walking walking walking

Isaac and I had quite the adventure yesterday. Gabe was at a playdate at a friend's house, and so I had the morning to myself with the baby. One of the first things I decided to do was walk to the Head Start building to turn in Gabe's application, not realizing exactly how far away the place was because I was reading the address on the application wrong (I thought it said "7th Avenue E," but it was actually "7th Avenue EN"). I put Zac in the Ergo in the front-carry and headed out.

I walked and walked (I love walking), until I got to 7th Avenue E, except there was no such thing! (Obviously, I still do not know my way around this place well enough) But I think, it's got to be around here somewhere; maybe this is is just a dead end and I have to go around a few blocks to get there...So I tried that, and still no luck. Finally, I looked at the address again and realized my mistake...By this point, my back was getting really sore from carrying the baby, but I had no other choice at thas point.

After A LOT of backtracking, I finally found myself in the North end, and I got to 7th Ave. EN, but was still having trouble finding the place. I finally called Nick (thank goodness for cell phones!) and he told me I was *right there,* all I had to do was take a right...So I did, and found the building. *phew* I decided to rest there for a while before heading back home.

The walk back wasn't as bad, since I knew where I was going...But I was pretty exhausted by the time I got back home...after nearly an hour and a half of walking with the baby in tow...But, I guess it's good to know I'm in good enough shape to handle it :D

  1. Glad you found it! Those types of adventures can end up being really frustrating very easily. At least you can feel good about all the exercise you got and nice sunshine too!
